MARY LOU RILEY
FAITHORN — Mary Lou “Dolly” Riley, 75, of Faithorn, passed away Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, at Aurora Baycare in Green Bay, Wis.
She was born on Jan. 9, 1949, in DePere, Wis., the daughter of the late William and Ardella (Hupp) Tomasoski.
Dolly graduated from Norway High School in 1966.
She married her high school sweetheart David Riley on June 1, 1968, in St. Barbara Church in Vulcan. He preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 2020.
For many years, Dolly worked as the manager and bartender at the Long Branch Saloon in Faithorn. In her spare time, she enjoyed her horses, wildlife and spending time with her grandson, Michael Dessellier, going shopping and taking rides. She was a die-hard Packers fan.
Dolly enjoyed music like Kiss, Rolling Stones and the Beatles. She enjoyed going to the Rolling Stones concert with her daughter Becky and going to the Kiss concert with both of her daughters. She was available to her children and grandchildren whenever they needed her.
Mary Lou is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Ann (Jereme Romitti) Dessellier of Iron Mountain and Laurie Britton of Powers; son, Joel (Jimmie Lyn) Riley of Kingsford; grandchildren, Alex (Jessica) Dessellier, Michael Dessellier, Allyssa Kirschner, Selena (Hunter Shope) Britton and Angelina Riley; great-grandchildren, Parker and Bronson Dessellier; sisters, Pamela Tomososki and Debbie Tanguay; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jacey David Riley.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Jeff Gagne of First United Methodist Church in Hermansville, officiating.
Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Faithorn.
A special thank you to Michael Dessellier, who spent every minute that he could with her, and Selena Britton for being there for Dolly at the time of her passing.
