Pauline Ann “Sunshine” Lemke
NIAGARA, Wis. — Pauline Ann “Sunshine” Lemke, 81, of Niagara, passed away Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at Maryhill Manor in Niagara.
She was born Dec. 26, 1942, in Tomahawk, Wis., daughter of the late Paul Umlauft and Florence (Tobin) Rozell.
She married Bradley “Shadow” Lemke in West Allis, Wis., on Oct. 6, 1962; he preceded her in death in 2014 after 51 years of marriage.
Pauline attended Tomahawk High School. Before her retirement, Pauline had worked at Maryhill Manor as a dietary aide, and at the Krist – Niagara location. She enjoyed bowling, embroidering, watching anything on HGTV, and instant scratch offs.
Pauline is survived by her children, Todd (Jill) Lemke of Breitung Township and Lisa (Jim) Reed of Randville; grandchildren, Kirstina Lemke, Jennifer Bera (Bill Fadden), Heather (Dave) Ten Broeck, Keylyn Reed (Cole Kubick) and Alexander Reed (fiance Hannah Clark); three great-grandchildren, Ellie Bera, Derrick and Aaron; Ten Broeck; a niece, Laura (Joe) Haring and nephew, Paul (Wendy) Winker.
Along with her parents and her husband, Brad, Pauline was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Winker; brother, Dennis Rozell; and her sister and brother-in-law, Rochelle and Herman Winkelmann.
With her positive attitude and strong will, she was able to face many health issues in the last couple of years.
The family would like to thank Drs. Gustavo and Michelle Morel at Marshfield Medical Oncology and all their wonderful employees, as well as Dr. Ellen VanLaanen from Bellin Health and Maryhill Manor’s exceptional staff that took very good care of mom the last few months. Their care and compassion will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Feb. 1 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kingsford. Funeral services will follow at noon at the church, with Pastor Matt Ruesch officiating. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
