Shirley DeLongchamp
NIAGARA, Wis. — Shirley Elaine DeLongchamp, 84, of Niagara, Wis. went to Heaven on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024.
She was born on Nov. 26, 1939, in Webberville, Mich., to the late Raymond and Ethel (Hoveland) Bohnett. Shirley was a graduate of Kingsford High School, Class of ’58. She was the kindest and most selfless person. There was nothing that Shirley wouldn’t do or give to help someone in need.
Animals often benefited from Shirley’s generosity as well. She loved feeding and caring for any and all animals that found their way into her care, whether they be her own pets, strays, or wild animals. Shirley’s heart of gold, gentle touch, and beautiful smile will be greatly missed.
Shirley is survived by her three daughters, Peggy Thomas, Carrie Hyska, and Paula DeLongchamp (Mark); granddaughter, Tara (Cory) Hughes; two great-granddaughters, Alyssa Moore and Katelyn Moore; four siblings, Bill (Marsha) Bohnett, Dolores Haglund, Marilyn Hewlett, and Donna (Loren) Duerr; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her son, Bob DeLongchamp; son-in-law, Blaine Hyska; sister-in-law, Dolores Bohnett; and three brothers-in-law, Al Haglund, George Hewlett, and Darold Cousineau.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
