CRYSTAL FALLS — Cheryle Lynn Spicer, 69, of Crystal Falls, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, Wis., with her husband and sons by her side.
Cheryle was born Aug. 21, 1954, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Jack and June (Clements) Stachowicz. She graduated from Custer High School in Milwaukee with the Class of 1972. Cheryle married Curt Spicer on Oct. 10, 1981, in Minneapolis. She was involved with The Salvation Army for many years in Minnesota, Wisconsin and in Iron Mountain. Most recently, Cheryle was the co-pastor, along with her husband Curt, at Faith Fellowship Bible Church in Crystal Falls, and had been since its inception in 2005. She loved cross-stitching, painting, camping and being on or near water, but what she loved more than anything was spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, Curt; her two sons, Casey (Jill) Sundell and Cory (Sara) Sundell, both of Crystal Falls; her siblings, Robin (Mike) Mehrens, David Essington and Tom (Joy) Stachowicz; eight grandchildren, Taylor, Riley, Logan, Parker, Chloe, Grayson, Dylan and a bonus granddaughter, Mina; a great-grandson, Russell; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Faith Fellowship Bible Church in Crystal Falls.
A celebration of Cheryle’s life will follow at 3 p.m. at the church, with Major Scott Spicer of The Salvation Army officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Faith Fellowship Bible Church in Crystal Falls.
