UPPER PINE CREEK — Diane Rae Finendale, 80, of Upper Pine Creek, peacefully passed away on Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born March 1, 1943, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Marcus and Eva (Soderberg) Rosenblum. Diane married Robert “Red” Finendale on Sept. 16, 1961, at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford; he preceded her in death in 2019.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of American Martyrs Catholic Church. Diane had a passion for gardening and was a talented painter. She enjoyed watching the birds that came into her feeders. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Steve (Adonia) Finendale of Aurora, Wis.; two daughters, Laurie (Mike) Caruso of Iron Mountain and Julie Finendale (Doug Morin) of Niagara, Wis.; one sister-in-law, Mary “Mitzi” Finendale of lower Michigan; grandsons, Jeremy (Dawn) Caruso, Jason (Rachael) Rossato, Matthew Rossato, Tony (Simone) Rossato, Travis Finendale, and Shawn (Ashley) Caruso; great-grandchildren, Levi, Jonah, Sammy, Parker, Aria, Angelo, Lorenzo, Alonzo, Alyssa and Tristan; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Tammy Finendale; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Finendale; and two sisters-in-law, Marion (Ted) Lewis and Shirley (Wayne) Julian.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 9 at American Martyrs Church in Kingsford, with Msgr. Joseph Gouin officiating.
Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery.
