CRYSTAL FALLS — Robert Allen “Al” Morgan Jr., 68, of Crystal Falls, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born on July 18, 1955, in Idabel, Okla., to the late Robert Sr. and Frances (Gibson) Morgan. Al was raised in Broken Bow, Okla., and was a graduate of Broken Bow Senior High School. On Aug. 9, 2002, Al married Heidi Linsenbigler in Florence, Wis. He worked at the Quinnesec Paper Mill in the maintenance department for 33 years prior to accepting a position with corporate as the COE Roll Service and Support Manager for another four years, retiring in 2022. He was a member of St. Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Al was also active with Mountain View Ice Arena, sitting on its board as well as the boards of Ice Reflections and DAHA. Opening and operating Wicked Edge Sports was also important to him. In what little free time Al had he loved fishing, bird hunting and going to auctions.
Al will be deeply missed by his wife, Heidi Morgan; three children, Robert (Beckie) Morgan, Joshua (Amy) Morgan and Shelby (Alek) Haag; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Alicia, Connor, Andrew and Noah; brother, Joe Ray (LaDonna) Morgan; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Baba Yaga.
In addition to his parents, Al is preceded in death by a grandson, Tristin Morgan.
Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11, at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home: 901 Carpenter Ave. in Iron Mountain, with Fr. Michael Woempner officiating the funeral service at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Broken Bow.
