IRON MOUNTAIN — Bryan K. Lucas, 58, of Kingsford, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Aurora Bay Medical Center in Green Bay, Wis.

He was born April 12, 1965, in Eerie, Pa., son of the late Norris C. and Frances E. (Carnahan) Lucas. Bryan was a graduate of Norway High School, Class of 1984. Following graduation, he proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in California. This is where he met Melissa Ellen Ruth Tagle. They moved to the U.P. in 1988 and were married on Sept. 13, 1989, in Iron Mountain. Following marriage, they settled in Kingsford and Bryan worked for 4D’s Transport until 2017 and founded Lucas Trucking in 2000.

His life centered around his family and making people smile. Bryan drove in the mud runs and loved trucking, classic cars, and car shows.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Lucas of Kingsford; four daughters, Frances (James) Anderson, Brittany (Chris) Lucas, Katherine (Joe) Lucas and Danielle (John) Lucas; six grandchildren, Saedra Lampman, Bryan Anderson, Addaleigha Weseman, Cooper Weseman, Aspyn Weseman and Mercedes Sudac; one great-granddaughter, Felina Leon; three brothers, Norris “Ed” Lucas, David Lucas and James (Missy) Lucas; two sisters, Nina (Jeff) Hurst and Sonia (Jim) Cetnarowski; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bryan was preceded in death by one sister, Yvonne Dipola, and one granddaughter, Melissa “MJ” Anderson.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, March 22 at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.
