IRON MOUNTAIN — Carole J. Schultz, 54, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at her home with family and friends by her side, after a courageous battle against cancer.

She was born on May 10, 1969, in Oak Park, Ill., to Raymond Schultz and the late Karen (South) Schultz.

She was raised in Streamwood, Ill., where she held the swimming record at her high school. She was a lifeguard and pool instructor in Streamwood. She married Eric Paul Seipp on Oct. 8, 1989, in Illinois. She lived in Peoria, Ill., Macomb, Ill., St. Germain, Wis., and Florida prior to moving to Iron Mountain in 2014.

She enjoyed being in the outdoors, open water fishing in both fresh and salt water, gardening, joy rides in her corvette with her dog, camping trips, being with her children, and her dog, Dottie. Carole was known to brighten up a room the moment she walked in.

She is survived by her father, Raymond Schultz; sons, Kyle (Ashley Oltman) Seipp of Elgin, and Kurt Seipp of Schaumburg, Ill.; daughter, Katelynd (Tony) Schmidt of St. Germain; brother, Thomas (Bobbie Jean) Schultz of Bolingbrook, Ill.; sister, Charlene (Frank) Korpics of Belleview; father of her children, Eric P. Seipp, of Elgin; grandchildren, Nolan, Elsa, Lydia, Jeremiah and Jackson; significant other, Hank DeClark; and many nieces; and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.

A Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Reverend David Wilton officiating.
