NAPLES, Fla. — Jamie (Larson) Henry, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, in Naples.
Jamie was born and raised in the Iron Mountain-Kingsford area and attended Kingsford High School. She was a cheerleader all through school and involved in many activities.
She made many lifelong friends during her high school years. After high school, she attended Northern Michigan University. She married Stan Henry Jr. in September 1988.
After moving back to the area, she and Stan built a home on her father’s land on Bass Lake and had two children, Hillary and Alex. Jamie opened her own successful business, Flowers on the Avenue by Jamie. She was an active hockey mom for both Alex and Hillary.
She worked for Northern Heritage Real Estate for many years, gaining experience and education in real estate. In 2013, she and her family moved to Naples where Jamie began working for White Sands Realty.
While living in Naples, she enjoyed her job, playing volleyball, and going to the beach. All her life she loved saving turtles no matter where she was and so living in Naples, she got to be around all kinds of turtles.
Jamie is preceded in death by her father, Richard E. Larson; grandparents, Russell and Edith Larson and Merton and Margaret Duby; very special Aunty, Margie Cohen; and father-in-law, Stan Henry Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Stan Henry Jr.; children, Hillary (Jon) Sieg of Seattle and Alex (Claire) Henry of Naples; mother, Sharon A. Larson of Iron Mountain; sister, Jodi (John) Casanova of Iron Mountain; brother, Tim (Corinne) Larson of Iron Mountain; mother-in-law, Helen Henry of Mountain Iron, Minn. brother-in-law, Scott Henry, Mountain Iron; and many nieces and nephews.
