Nancy L. Sundholm

FELCH — Nancy L. Sundholm, 72, of Felch, passed away with her loving husband by her side on Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls.

Nancy was born Jan. 26, 1952 in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Louis and Laura (Morse) Siegler. She graduated from Felch High School in 1970 and was a lifelong resident of the area. Nancy married Stewart Sundholm on June 15, 1974 at Mission Covenant Church in Foster City. She was employed with the North Dickinson School System as an Administrative Secretary for nearly 50 years, retiring in 2020. Nancy was a member of Mission Covenant Church and served with the covenant women. She loved the outdoors and wildlife. Planting flowers and vegetables in her gardens, picking berries to make jam, taking walks, especially in the south country, and taking trips out west with her husband, Stewart, were some of her favorite things to do. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and attending their sporting events. Nancy enjoyed photography and was an excellent baker whose chocolate chip cookies and “air cakes” were family favorites.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Stewart; a daughter, Chantel (Jason) Besaw of Black Creek, Wis.; a son, Brad (Shannon) Sundholm of Bay City, Mich., a brother, Delbert (Shirley) Siegler of Norway Lake; four grandchildren, Barrett and Dempsey Besaw and Brynn and Claire Sundholm; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as numerous extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, Howard and Dale Siegler; and an infant sister, Belva Jean Siegler.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 23 at Mission Covenant Church in Foster City. Memorial services will follow at noon at the church. Pastor Joe Basso will officiate.

There have been so many people over the past 6 years who have supported our family on this journey. Special thanks to the PI girls who have been with Nancy every step of the way. We cannot thank you enough. We also want to extend our deepest appreciation for the wonderful care the ICMCF staff gave to Nancy.
