Annette Andersen

IRON MOUNTAIN — Annette (DeClark) Andersen, 79, of Iron Mountain, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, April 19, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.

She was born Sept. 2, 1944, in Norway, the daughter of the late Oscar and Clara (VerMeulen) DeClark.

Annette graduated from Norway High School in 1962.

She worked for Michigan State University Extension office, retiring in 1998.

Annette was the secretary of the Dickinson County Fair Board, a member of the Amity Club, and the Delta County FCE group.

She loved spending time with her family, especially with her granddaughter Jessica, going to garage sales, every flower shop in the area, playing bingo with her friends. She also enjoyed traveling and going on long rides, sightseeing with Jerry.

Annette is survived by her sons, Jim Wenzel of Norway and Kenny Wenzel of Minneapolis; stepson, David (Jamie) Andersen; stepdaughter, Lara (Tim) Worden; her significant other, Jerry Hicks; grandchildren, Jessica (Alex) Dessellier of Kingsford, Lilah Thompson of Iron Mountain, Michael, Aiden and Jackson Andersen; great-grandchildren, Parker and Bronson Dessellier; brother, Jack (Lois) DeClark of Milwaukee; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her husband, David Andersen; and brother, Ron DeClark.

Family will greet friends on Thursday, April 25 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at the Norway Township Cemetery.
