Clifford ‘Clippy’ Renier
FAITHORN — Clifford “Clippy” Renier, 96, of Faithorn, died Friday, April 5, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.
Clifford was born in Sullivan, Wis., on April 27, 1927, the son of the late Justin and Leona (Jacquart) Renier.
He grew up on various dairy farms in Wisconsin. In 1936 he moved with his family from Jefferson County Wis. to Faithorn.
Clifford married Gloria LaMack on March 1, 1947, at St. John’s Church in Menominee. She preceded him in death on Feb. 13, 1996.
He worked the Dairy Farm in Faithorn until he “retired” and went to work for the City of Norway at Oak Crest Golf Course for 17 years until he was 79.
He loved spending time at the Renier camp, sharing stories with the family, he was an excellent deer hunter, always getting his buck with great shots.
Clifford also played baseball with his brothers and Faithorn friends. His favorite team was the New York Yankees and he was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
He is survived by sons, Clifford “Skip” (Cyndy) Renier of Green Bay and Tom (Jeri) Renier of Faithorn; daughters, Bonnie (Mike) St. John of Spalding, Sally Casimir of Carney and Peggy (Dante) Mendina of Norway; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild on the way; and many nieces and nephews.
Clifford was preceded in death by his great-grandchildren, Ryan and Shawnee; four brothers, Joseph (Esther), Gilbert (Jane), Orville (Millie) Renier and Justin (Doris) Renier; four sisters, Julia (Clarence) Miller, Lucille (Vic) Polzin, Viola (Jesse) McClure and Leona Renier.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10 at St. Barbara Church in Vulcan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church, with Fr. Marty Flynn presiding.
Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Faithorn.
