Henry ‘Hank’ DeClark Sr.

KINGSFORD — Henry Edward “Hank” DeClark Sr., 89, of Kingsford passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, Wis.

Hank was born on Dec. 9, 1934, in Aurora, Wis., son of the late Edward and Violet (Sutherland) DeClark. He enlisted with the Navy on March 27, 1956.

On May 3, 1958, Hank was married to Rosalie “Rose” Marsh. Rose preceded Hank in death on April 12, 2014, after nearly 56 years of marriage. Among his many other good qualities, Hank will be remembered for his hard work, particularly spending over 40 years with Grede Foundry.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time at his camp. Hank also enjoyed his trips to the casino.

Hank will be missed by his two sons, Hank DeClark Jr. and Rodney DeClark; seven grandchildren, Brandon Rouse, Steven Clement, Brent Clement, Tylee DeClark, Dakota DeClark, Montana DeClark, and Carlee DeClark; eight great-grandchildren, Brandon Clement, Kyler Rouse, Siiri Rouse, Sierra Phillips, Carter Clement, Nevaeh Clement, Maci Clement, and Weston Henry Sanders; three sisters, La Verne Tramontin, Donna (Al) Cumber, and Phyllis DeClark; and many other family and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Hank is preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Pearce; and a brother, Arnold (Lois) DeClark.

Visitation will be at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home, 901 Carpenter Ave., from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 27, with Rev. Jim Danielson officiating the funeral service at noon.

Burial with full military honors will be in Quinnesec Cemetery.
