Jeanette M. Deldin (Davis)

IRON MOUNTAIN — Jeanette M. Deldin (Davis) passed away peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in her home in Dexter, Mich., due to complications of Covid and Leukemia. Jeanette was born March 2, 1935, in Iron Mountain, to the late Robert and Isabelle Anderson. Jeanette was the loving life partner to the late Dominick Melfi and was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Pamela Joy Marie Patrick, brother Robert Anderson and his wife Caroline, grandparents William and Elizabeth Davis, and husband Joseph Deldin.

Jeanette was also the loving mother to Thomas (Kristen) Deldin and Patricia Deldin. She dearly loved her grandchildren, Michael (Miya) Patrick, Jason (Heidi) Patrick, Sarah (Corey) Wickman, Anthony (Esther) Deldin, Victoria Deldin, Jacob Rich, and Ben Rich. Jeanette’s great-grandchildren, Keila, Preston, Caden, Chase, Emilia, Luca, Gene, and Grace were her pride and joy.

Jeanette loved people and enjoyed a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She often entertained them all at her Kenosha, Wis., house on Lake Michigan. She later moved to Florida and then to her daughter’s home in Dexter.

Jeanette enjoyed parties and spending time with her friends and neighbors. She would unselfishly help anyone in need. Jeanette was also a gentle soul who loved animals. She loved her cats and dogs and was a great friend to all wild critters that came to her house every evening for a nighttime snack.

She loved crafting, gardening and was especially fond of flowers. She was a great cook and baker. When arriving at Jeanette’s house during a holiday you would always find the house full of family and friends and a feast of delicious and bountiful homemade, gourmet food.

Jeanette was a special person loved by everyone who knew her. Jeanette will never be forgotten; may she rest in peace now and throughout eternity…..
