Kathleen (Metscher) Pollock

Kathy was born on Oct. 21, 1948, in Milwaukee, to the late Raymond and Marilyn (Koenig) Metscher. Following high school, Kathy graduated from the first nursing class with a BSN from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Kathy continued in nursing until her retirement.

Kathy loved nursing and caring for patients. During her 50-year career, her skills as a nurse allowed her the opportunity to work in hospitals around the country, including in Oshkosh; at the VA in Iron Mountain; Colorado Springs and Salida, Colo; and Montana as an intensive care/flight nurse. Kathy returned to this area, working with Arms of Angels, caring for our veterans until her retirement.

On Dec. 1, 1984, Kathy married Robert Pollock. They shared 40 years together.

Kathy will be deeply missed by her husband, Bob; children, Eric (Michelle) Geldmeyer, Matthew Geldmeyer (Sandy), Katherine Geldmeyer (Wally), and Bobbi Jo (Kris) Johnston; grandchildren, Olivia, Jesse, Kasey and Hannah; brothers, Mark (Helen) Metscher and Craig (Debra) Metscher; and many other family members and friends.

Kathy touched many lives. She was kind and generous with a giving heart, which included her many rescued fur-babies.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

In keeping with Kathy’s generous spirit, memorial contributions may be made to benefit the charity of your choosing.
