Mary Corozolla

NORWAY — Mary Corozolla, 98, of Norway, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Marshfield Medical Center Dickinson in Iron Mountain.

Mary was born at home in Pine Creek on January 20, 1926, daughter of the late Arcadio and Emma (Tenaglia) Branz. She graduated from Kingsford High School in 1944 and was a lifelong resident of Dickinson County.

Mary was united in marriage to Michael Corozolla on Aug. 14, 1948. He preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 1992.

Mary was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway. She loved living in the country, being outdoors, and especially working in her vegetable and flower gardens. Her tomato plants were her specialty. She also was an excellent cook and baker. Mary enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by three children, Diane (Richard) Visintainer of Estes Park, Colo., Joan (Paul) McGuire of Frisco, Texas and Paul (Connie) Corozolla of Marshfield, Wis.; five grandchildren, Carrie (Chris Imsland) Visintainer, Tammie (Ellery Fink) Visintainer, David McGuire, Mark (Mandy) McGuire and Rhiannon Corozolla; eight great-grandchildren, Jake, Elise, Charlie, Jayden, Olivia, Gianna, Dominic and Luca; a brother, Paul (Kathy) Branz of Faithorn; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Eugene Branz and a sister, Tressa Schwei.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 3, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway. Fr. Marty Flynn will offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the DICSA community meal program.
