Rebecca Jean Nimmer

FLORENCE, Wis. — Rebecca Jean Nimmer, 53, of Florence, passed away due to an acute illness on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center — Dickinson.

She was born on June 25, 1970, in Iron Mountain to Richard and Rhea (Besson) Nimmer. Becky graduated from Florence High School in 1989. Shortly after graduation, she worked for Trico Opportunities for a few years. She enjoyed crafting with beads and making latch hook rugs, playing Boggle and doing word searches, as well as singing and caring for animals. Faith and family were of utmost importance to Becky. She was a member of St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church and she loved to binge-watch Hallmark movies with her sister. Becky will always be remembered for her thoughtful nature and roping people in with one of her jokes and then hitting them with one of her beautiful smiles.

Becky will be deeply missed by her parents; her sister, Ruth (Scot) Menke; nieces and nephews, Valentina (Benji) Busbani, Timothy (Stephanie) Malone and Steven (Rochelle) Malone; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents; and her aunts and uncles, Caroline Vandeville, Dennis LaCrosse, Phillip Franklin and Eugene and Marlene Nimmer.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 5 at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home, 901 Carpenter Ave., with Father Janusz Romanek officiating a prayer service at 1 p.m.

Burial will be in Perkins at a later date.
