FLORENCE, Wis. — Bridget Marie King passed away on June 23, 2024, in Green Bay, Wis. at the age of 43.
Born on March 16, 1981, Bridget’s life was marked by her kind and giving heart, her sense of humor, and her quirky spirit and colorful sense of style. She was a creative individual and enjoyed making art. Bridget faced many struggles in life with an unwavering faith in God. Praying the rosary and listening to Christian music brought her great joy and solace.
For the past eight years Bridget lived in an apartment in Marinette, Wis. where she made numerous friendships and will be greatly missed.
Bridget is survived by her loving mother, Susan King of Florence; her siblings, Sr. Mary Joseph of the Holy Face of the Carmelite Monastery in Denmark, Wis., Elizabeth Honeycutt of Florence, Colleen King (Donald Flowers) of Oshkosh, Wis. and Kathleen King of Kingsford; one nephew, Brunell Honeycutt of Florence; many aunts and uncles including Thomas and Leticia Hoye of Wauwatosa, Wis., Mary and Mac McDougall of Milwaukee, and MaryKay King of Oconomowoc, Wis.; many cousins including the Hoye cousins and the King cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, James King.
Visitation for Bridget will be held on Saturday, July 20, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Florence, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Commonwealth, Wis. A luncheon will follow the services at the parish hall. Her life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
