Gerald J. ‘Jack’ Andreini Jr.

IRON MOUNTAIN — Gerald J. “Jack” Andreini Jr., 71, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Marshfield Medical Center – Dickinson in Iron Mountain.

Jack was born July 22, 1952, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Gerald J. Sr. and Patricia (Pillion) Andreini. He graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1970 and was a lifelong resident of the area.

Jack married Mary Schaut on Aug. 19, 1978, at St. Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Kingsford. He was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for 33 years, retiring in 2010. Jack enjoyed going to camp, listening to music, doing crossword puzzles and was an avid baseball fan. His family was his number one priority and he cherished time spent with them. He was very proud of and absolutely adored his grandchildren.

Jack is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Alissa (Travis) Pearce and Annie (Mike) Ghere, both of Iron Mountain; a son, Lucas Andreini (Mikayla) of Kingsford; grandchildren, Jacob and Annabelle Cmejla, Lauren and Natalie Ghere, and Waylon, Westlynn and Waverley Andreini; two sisters-in-law, Sue (Gary) Proudfit and Sally Swan; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Maggie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Jeanette Schaut; and a brother-in-law, Homer Swan.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 23 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Kingsford. Fr. Michael Woempner will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
