RANDVILLE — Randel “Bo” Eugene Moore, 76, of Randville, passed away July 17, 2024, at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.
He was born Nov. 2, 1947, son of Eugene “Julio” and Mary Ann (Horak) Moore. He was raised on his dad’s family farm in Monroe, Mich., and was proud of his mom’s strong Czech heritage. He was a graduate of the Monroe High School Class of 1965. After high school Bo joined the United States Army and served two years during the Vietnam War.
He was a charter member of the Carleton Motorcycle Club and loved the freedom that came with riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. In 1981 he moved from the Monroe area to the Upper Peninsula when he surrendered his life to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In 1982 he married his wife of 42 years, Sandy (Moore), at Kingsford Maranatha Assembly of God Church.
Bo was a fan of the Michigan Wolverines, the Detroit Lions, the Detroit Tigers, and NASCAR Racing. He was a great gardener and made the best chili. He enjoyed listening to the Oldies and Classic Rock, especially Bob Seger’s, “Old Time Rock and Roll.”
Bo had a great love for his family and his church. He had a special place in his heart for shut-ins and for many years, on Sundays after church, he visited local nursing homes to encourage their residents. Bo retired as a truck driver/mechanic from M. J. Electric in 2009.
Randel is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Shane Moore, Abigail Evans (Steve), Sarah Dukes (Brandon), and Matthew Moore; brother, Rene Moore (Ann); sisters, Robbin Zeitz (Ted) and Roxanne Moore; brother-in-law, James Moore; and sisters-in-law, Sheila Hall, Susan Shehan, Sherry Jahn (Rick), and Lea Wood (Joe); grandchildren, Riley, Eli, Amia, and Mariana Dukes; and several nieces and nephews.
