Brenda J. Pinheiro

She was born on Nov. 15, 1947, in New Bedford, Mass., to the late Walter and Eunice (Martin) Szela.

Having met the love of her life, Gene Pinheiro, when he was 16 and she was 15, they spent many happy years together raising a family. Brenda and Gene expressed their love for each other at a marriage ceremony on Aug. 28, 1988, in New Bedford. They were longtime residents of New Bedford, and years later their love of the country and outdoors brought them to Iron Mountain

She is survived by her sons, Steven Hebert, Ralph Hebert, and Walter (Lisa Caban) Hebert; daughters, Karen (Lou Daugherty) Hebert, and Brenda (Dennis) Schuirmann; step-daughter, Robin McHale; daughter-in-law, Lindsey-Rae Hebert; brother, Richard (Donna) Szela; two Godchildren; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and several nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Pinheiro on April 5, 2022,; son, Geno Hebert; daughter-in-law, Lorri Hebert; sisters, Diane Offley, Linda Semedo, and Gail Proxl; and granddaughters, Ashley Caban, Donna Jo Boyden, and Jacey Sims.

In accordance with Brenda’s wishes, the family will announce a celebration of her life at a later date to be held at their home.
