IRON MOUNTAIN — Lindsey Helen Aarness, 39, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Sunday Aug. 4, 2024, at her home in Iron Mountain.
Lindsey was born on Aug. 17, 1984, in International Falls, Minn., to Terry and Elaine (Dvergsten) Aarness.
She moved to Quinnesec in August of 1989 and attended kindergarten at Woodland Elementary. In 1994 her family moved to Iron Mountain starting the fifth grade at North Elementary. She was part of the 2002 graduating class of Iron Mountain High School. After graduation attended Finlandia University in Hancock, and received a bachelor in textile design and fiber arts.
Lindsey loved sunflowers, picking berries, exploring her artistic side, and taking her sons fishing. The most important thing in her life was her family.
She is survived by her father, Terry Aarness; mother, Elaine Aarness; sons, Jacob Good, Jackson Good; sister, Crystal (Michael) Falik; niece, Riley Falik; grandmothers, Donna Aarness, Erine Dvergsten.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Mervin Aarness, and Harvey Dvergsten.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, from 9 until 11 a.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A celebration of life will follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Andy Leaf will officiate.
