Richard Pelot

Richard was born on Feb. 16, 1943, in Chicago, son of the late Raymond and Elsa Pelot. He was a graduate of Iron Mountain High School and later received his master’s degree from Northern Michigan University in business administration and education. After completing his education Richard taught in Lake Fenton, Mich., for a year.

When he received an offer for a position with Norway-Vulcan Area Schools he moved to the U.P. where he taught for another 21 years. Richard was a fan of the Milwaukee Braves and Brewers and was often referred to as “Mr. Baseball” due to his extensive knowledge. Richard was also very proud of his home on Lake Antoine.

Richard leaves behind his sister, Pamela.

Richard’s family would like to thank Wendy’s worker, Helen, and her cheerful “Hi guys!” and Connie Jayne for her kindness to Pam when she needed a friend.

Private services were held at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home.
