AURORA, Wis. — Robert C. Bryngelson, 82, of Aurora, Wis., passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024, at the Marshfield Medical Center – Dickinson in Iron Mountain.

Robert was born May 9, 1942, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Orville and Irene (Erickson) Bryngelson. After graduating from Kingsford High School in 1960, he married Diane Trulock on Oct. 1, of that same year.

Robert worked at the Niagara paper mill for over 40 years before retiring. In his younger years he enjoyed snowmobiling and not only raised and trained many champion Beagles, but he was also a member of the Northland Beagle Club.

Robert loved the outdoors and enjoyed mushroom and berry picking, hunting, and fishing, which was his passion. An Avid Packer fan, Robert also loved country music, especially George Jones.

Along with his wife, Diane, Robert is survived by his children, Mike Bryngelson and Scott (Ann) Bryngelson; a daughter-in-law, Jule Bryngelson; his grandchildren, Brittany Bryngelson, Nicole (Kevin) Kitter, Aerika Johnson and Robert (Rose) Bryngelson; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Gavin and Maci; nieces, Stephanie Norris (Tod), Stacie Coates (Michael) Cheryl Stohl (Mike) and Amy Sexton; a brother-in-law, Dan Trulock; and special cousins, Denise (Al) Sauld and Rocky (Debbie) Brooks.

He is preceded in death by a son, Todd Bryngelson, and a sister, Corrine Sexton.
