Eunice Pellegrini

1926-2024

Eunice Pellegrini

VULCAN — Eunice Eileen Pellegrini, 97, entered her rest with Christ Jesus, Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024 at Evergreen Assisted Living in Norway, Mich.

She was born on Nov. 13, 1926, in Norway, the daughter of the late Carl and Emma (Olson) Swanson.

She married Edward Magnuson on June 17, 1950, he preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1974.

Eunice married Henry Pellegrini on March 26, 1978. He preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 2010.

Eunice was a woman of faith and hard work. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Norway from a very young age.

She actively participated in farming her whole life first on Swede Settlement Road, then at Melodydell Dairy in Waucedah, and finally at the Henry Pellegrini Farm in Vulcan. Eunice was also always busy with gardening, sewing, quilting, baking, canning, and cooking. She did it all with diligence and generosity giving away hundreds of quilts, loaves of bread, and canned goods.

Most of all, she was busy with the care of her family — her husbands, daughters, stepdaughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Many remember her amazing dinners and baking along with the way she and Hank visited friends and neighbors, especially those in need of some help or friendship. She moved between her two families with grace and left them with a legacy of love for Christ Jesus.

She is survived by her daughters, Christine (Ken) McBroom of Vulcan and Carol (Paul) Hintz of Tucson, Ariz.; stepdaughters, Judy (Scott) Samsky of Camarillo, Calif., Donna (Shawn) Staples of Vulcan, Rosemary (J.P.) Hinsverk of Blaine, Minn., Mary Beth (Louis) Soberanis of Camarillo, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, Alex, Danny, Kyle, Kassi, Lexi, Tori, Kati, Grace, Zach, Vicki, Ken, Frank, Ed; 25 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Janice and Pat Pellegrini.

Eunice was also preceded in death by her grandson, Carl McBroom; granddaughter, Julie Hintz; brothers-in-law, Cippy, Louis, and Donald; brother, Leonard; and sister, Norma Isaacson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.
