CRYSTAL FALLS — Faye A. Fabbri, 89, of Crystal Falls passed away on Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility with her family by her side.
She was born on Nov. 22, 1934, in Felch, the daughter of Iver and Emelia (Isaacson) Willman. She moved to Crystal Falls at a young age and graduated from Crystal Falls High School in 1953. She married Chester Fabbri in July of 1953, and they shared 71 years of marriage.
Faye enjoyed spending time with her nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She worked side by side with Chet while they owned and operated the Crystal Drive In and later Fob’s Restaurant. Faye was also a born caregiver, caring for her mother in her later years and lifetime caregiver for her son, Jimmy. Faye was always willing to help people who were in need. She was a member of the United Lutheran Church.
Faye is survived by her husband, Chester; their children, Robin Hagglund, Tina (Kim) Nylund of Crystal Falls, and Lisa (Jim) Perry of Marquette; grandchildren, Jill (Casey) Sundell, Jeff (Sarah) Hagglund, Jenny (Glen) Erickson, Jeremy (Julie) Nylund, Jamie (Brian) Carollo, Jessie (Dan) Surface, Ashley (Cody) Campbell, and Zach Hautala; great-grandchildren, Taylor (Josh), Riley (Regan), Logan, Ella, Cayden, Jace, Emmi, Kelsie, Malorie, Adee, Eily, Jaxson, Faye, Hadlee, Cale, Lyndee, and Calum; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy; son-in-law, Eric Hagglund; grandson, Ricky Nylund; brothers, Ben (Beverly) and Gordon (Muriel) Willman; sister, Grace (Tom) Williams; brothers-in-law, Angelo (Arletta), Attilio (Agnes), Bay (Rose) Fabbri; and sister-in-law, Florence (Bill) Santilli.
A Celebration of Life will be held at United Lutheran Church in Crystal Falls, on Monday, Oct. 21, with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. and service immediately following at 11 a.m. Pastor D. J. Rasner will officiate.
