WAUCEDAH — Robert A. Cazzola, 90, of Waucedah Township, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, at Freeman Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Kingsford.
He was born on Nov. 19, 1933 in Loretto, the son of the late Joseph and Theodelinda (Zaupa) Cazzola.
Robert’s parents purchased the Bridges Dairy Farm on Waucedah Road and started working there at a young age.
He graduated from Vulcan High School in 1953, and kept farming until the farm was sold, after he worked for Norway Gravure until he retired.
Robert was a good cook, he enjoyed preparing meals. He liked to go for walks, and visiting with friends and family.
He was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan.
Robert is survived by his brother, Alfred Cazzola of Waucedah; sister, Bruna Norman of Elderon, Wis.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Linda Cazzola; sisters, Dora Lovato, Cecilia Tojza, and Norma Gates; brothers, Olinto, Joseph, Severino “Sarr”, Gino, Louie and Raymond “Red” Cazzola; brothers-in-law, Roman Tojza, Kenneth Gates, Irving Norman, and William Lovato; sisters-in-law, Anna, Patsy and Ruthie Cazzola.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 11 from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at the church, with Fr. Marty Flynn, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Norway Township Cemetery.
