CRYSTAL FALLS — Ella May White, 86, of Crystal Falls, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2024, at Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls.
She was born on Nov. 6, 1938, in Hardburly, Ky., to the late Amos and Valentine (Shepherd) Ritchie.
She married Howard White on Sept. 17, 1955. He preceded her in death after almost 50 years of marriage on Aug. 12, 2005.
She loved being involved in church. She was a preacher and at times was invited to preach at other churches. She was a leader of song services for many years. Her faith and family was the most important thing in her life.
Her many hobbies included flower gardening, cooking, homemaking, and caring for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Charles (Julie) White of Kingsford, John White of Crystal Falls, and James (Christy) White of Eagle River, Wis.; daughters, Rose (Terry) Huss of Freedom, Wis., and Cindy (Mike) Baker of Crystal Falls; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John; sisters, Anna Lee, Marcella, Bonnie June, and Darline; grandson, Derick; and great-granddaughter, Destiny.
A Celebration of Ella’s life will be announced at a later date.
