Annette Bortolini

Annette was born May 31, 1952, in Jackson, Mich., daughter of the late DuWayne and Mary Jane (Mills) Aultman. After graduating from Forest Park High School in 1970, she married Jerry Bortolini on July 11, 1970, in Crystal Falls.

Annette worked as a custodian and in food service for the Forest Park Schools for over 20 years, retiring in 2013. She was a member of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel. Annette loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and spent countless hours working around the house and farm.

Annette is survived by her husband, Jerry; her three sons, Shawn (Nikki) Bortolini of Crystal Falls, Jeff (Joy) Bortolini of Iron Mountain, and Jess (Ashley) Bortolini of Crystal Falls; a son-in-law, Dean Aberly; grandchildren, Andrew (Thresa) Bortolini, Shaina (Scott) St. John, Hannah (John) Trzeciak, Connor Bortolini, Elaina and Anna Bortolini, Ava, Myra and Wes Bortolini, Derek (Alli) Aberly, Zack (Jackie) Aberly and Megan Aberly; great-grandchildren, Ben, Tyler, Luke, Maren, Ellery, Lauren and one on the way; a brother, Darrell Aultman; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Annette was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jill Aberly; and two brothers, David and Donald Aultman.

Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until noon on Friday, May 16, at the Nash Funeral Home in Crystal Falls. A memorial service will follow at noon at the funeral home. Pastor Vicky Prewitt will officiate.
