Elizabeth Morstad

She was born on Sept. 9, 1949 in Norway, the daughter of the late Walter and Bridget (Formolo) Girardi.

Elizabeth graduated from Norway High School in 1967, and started working as a secretary for the Norway superintendent until she retired in 1983.

She married Dean Morstad on June 12, 1976. at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan.

Elizabeth enjoyed her flower garden, 1000-piece puzzles, side by side rides, music and weekends spent at the cabin. She especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years Dean; daughters, Bridget Morstad of Milwaukee; Teresa (Steve) Datema of Grand Rapids, Mich.; grand dogs, Maker and Jack; brother, Walter (Terri) Girardi of Kalamazoo, Mich.; sisters, Maria (Larry) Kempany of Quinnesec and Margaret (Randy) Carollo of Iron Mountain; numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will greet friends on Friday, June 6 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.

A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Marty Flynn of St. Barbara’s officiating.
