Jill Aberly

She was born on Oct. 12, 1975, in Crystal Falls, to Jerry and Annette Bortolini. Jill graduated from Forest Park High School in 1994 and was employed at Ben Franklin, Forest Park School, Dickinson Iron ISD, and most recently as a cook at the Forest Park School.

Jill married Dean Aberly on June 11, 1994, in Crystal Falls. She loved, more than anything, being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Jill loved her three kids dearly, Derek, Zachary and Megan; as well as her daughter-in-laws, Alli and Jackie; her granddaughter, Lauren; a granddaughter on the way; and bonus grandchildren, Berkley and Bennett. She also loved her animals, dogs, Lolly and Dixie; granddog, Annie; grandkitty, Tilly; bunny, Twix; goats, Chester and Charlie; and of course Ginger cow.

Jill loved her walks with her dogs, goats and a good fire pit with her husband Dean. She loved to cross country ski and snowshoe so much; she had an annual full moon bonfire and snow shoe walk with her friends and family. Her other love was baking goodies and making large meals for the family. Her most recent interest was making sourdough bread and attempting a gluten free starter. She loved making her house a home. Doing projects inside and out, enjoying her flowers and the hummingbirds.

She was loved by her family and everyone she met, including community members, school employees and students. Jill had a way of making everyone around her feel special and loved. Her daughter-in-laws and their families truly became her family as well. The Samuelson, Jastremski and Collins families held a very special place in her heart.

Jill is survived by her husband, Dean; sons, Derek (Alli) and Zachary (Jackie); daughter, Megan; and granddaughter, Lauren; parents, Jerry and Annette Bortolini; brothers, Shawn (Nikki), Jeff (Joy) and Jesse (Ashley); and many aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many cousins and very special friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alex and Alice Bortolini, DuWayne and Mary Aultman; aunt, Nora Bortolini; four uncles, Albert Hill, Jim Martwick, Don Aultman, and Dave Aultman; and a cousin, Jeremy Hill.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 8 at the Nash Funeral Home in Crystal Falls with memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
