Louis Schroeder

KINGSFORD — Louis “Louie” Carl Schroeder, 41, of Kingsford passed away at his home on June 14, 2025. His sudden passing left his family and many friends brokenhearted.
Louie was a lifelong resident of Dickinson County, and he graduated from Kingsford High School in 2003. He pursued many different endeavors throughout his life, having spent time welding, roofing, doing concrete work and painting houses, among many other jobs.
Louie had a lifelong love for the outdoors; he was always happiest outside. Since he was a young boy, Louie loved fishing, hunting, boating, swimming, skiing, and snowboarding, and he was never afraid to try something new.
Also since he was a young boy, Louie enjoyed riding dirt bikes, snowmobiles, 4-wheelers and mopeds, and he made a real hobby out of buying, selling, and maintaining them.
Louie never met a stranger. He loved talking with people about anything and was genuinely interested in what others had to say. He had a huge heart and will be greatly missed by many, especially his Merriman West buddies.
Louie is survived by his parents, Gary and Mary (Abel) Schroeder; his sister, Claire Schroeder; a special niece, Bianca Stanchina; his aunts, Sue (Abel) DallaValle and Ginna (Abel) and Joe Ferris; his uncle, Greg Schroeder; and his cousins, Rob and Emily Ferris, Dave Ferris, and Gage Schroeder.
No services are planned at this time.
