Marjorie Nelson

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 21 at 1 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 1210 S Stephenson Ave, Iron Mountain Mi 49801.

Marge graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1947. She was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a faithful member of the First Lutheran Church. She loved her Red Hat Society, Lydia Circle and meeting with her graduation class, and looked forward to her swimming classes.

She was a true “GOLDEN GIRL” with her Queens, and loved going out to eat. The coffee was always on and the table loaded with sweets for anyone that entered her home.

She loved the Lord, yet was SASSY in her own way. She loved her hot fudge sundaes and anything chocolate. Our Queen mother was amazing and she loved life. She will forever be known for saying “Be like Jesus and Love them all.” We are forever thankful for her many friends that were family. She is so very missed.

Marge is lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Susan (Steve) Higgins, Joy (Montee) Skorich, Carrie Jo Mellinger; and her grandchildren, Adam (Amy) Nelson, Ashley Nelson, Hillary (Doug) Naeve, Cory (Britney) Mellinger, Hunter (Perri) Higgins, Nicholas (Aiyana) Nelson, Blake (Fiancee Corinne) Skorich; daughter-in-law, Robyn Nelson; and brother, Wayne Theisen. There are six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and countless loving friends.

She is preceded in death by her three sons, Nicholas, Ricky and Roy Nelson; and grandson, Surf Mellinger; brother, Earl Theisen; sisters, Betty Nelson and Orice Walters; and sisters-in-law, Ruth and Nancy Theisen. JOB WELL DONE MY FAITHFUL SERVANT. GOD WINKS All AROUND.
