Gerald W. “Jerry” Timm Sr.
DUNBAR, Wis. — Gerald W. “Jerry” Timm Sr., 79, of Dunbar, Wis., passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa, Wis. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Nekoosa.
Gerald was born on Nov. 21, 1945, in Milwaukee, to Henry and Lucille (Buska) Timm.
He enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corp and went to MCRD San Diego, Calif. After tech school he was shipped off to south Vietnam, and then to Henderson Hall in Arlington, Va. He left the Corp in ’69, and then in 1972 he enlisted in the Air Force in the NDIF (non-destructive inspection field). During his time in the Air Force, he was stationed at Chunte AFB (Air Force Base) IL, Iceland; Charleston AFB, South Carolina; Andrews AFB, Maryland; and then back to Charleston AFB, where he retired. Throughout Gerald’s career in the military, he proudly received many awards.
At Andrews Gerald met his wife, Yvonne Brandt Boomer. They were married in Upper Marlboro, Md., on June 1,1981. Upon his retirement from the Air Force after 16½ years, he worked numerous jobs in the area. When Yvonne retired from the Air Force herself, they moved to the small town of Dunbar and he continued to work at various places.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Brandt); daughter Katherine Kiker of North Carolina; son Charles W. Timm of Minnesota; four grandchildren, Kristen (Nathan) Van Acken, Rena (Jon) Taylor, Tiffany Cox (Chris Arlotta) and Trevor Timm of North Carolina; six great-grandchildren, Kaylen, Preston, Rylie, Tucker, Payton, and Dominic, also of North Carolina; his older brother, Henry (Joan) Timm of Colorado; sister Judy Sigmann of West Allis; younger brother Richard (Mary) Timm; and several extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lucille Timm; brother Terrance (Joan) Timm; sister Susie (Frank) Quartuelo; brother Robert Timm; sons Gerald W. Timm Jr. and Douglas M. Timm (infant); granddaughter Taylor Timm; and in-laws Gene and Norma Brandt.
