Karrie Ann Fabri

She was born in Crystal Falls on July 13, 1963. Karrie attended Forest Park Schools, where many lasting friendships were formed. After graduation in 1981, she began her education in Green Bay, Wis., toward what would be a lifelong career in cosmetology. Most of her life was spent between Michigan, Florida and Oklahoma.

She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, beautiful smile, and sparkling eyes. Those who knew Karrie describe her as determined, gutsy and stubborn, as well as very loving, brave and kind. She wore her generous heart on her sleeve (along with several sparkling bracelets).

This unexpected loss has family and friends grieving in our own ways; but all agree that she will be dearly missed. The light of her smile left this world when she passed into heaven, but is now shining with those who have passed before her.

Karrie is survived by her beloved son, Michael Angelo Fabri Jr. (Stefani Winter) of Oklahoma; his father, Mickey Fabri, and his aunt, Amy (Fabri) Turner, both from Crystal Falls; her brother, Kenneth (Vicki) West and sister, Kim (Patrick) Olson, both from Crystal Falls; nieces Summer Olson (Joe Brozak), Krystle Sikora (Andy Buck), Samantha (Dan) Schuck, Emily (Zach) Tarter, Amy Wheeler, Rachel (Sean) Bocek, Tomi Fabri, and Kaylea Fabri; nephews Hal Hoening and Tom Hoenig; several great-nieces and great-nephews; along with many other family members and friends.

Karrie was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert (Bud) and Rita West.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Aug. 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Nash Funeral Home in Crystal Falls. Memorial services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Vicky Prewitt officiating.

Her final place of rest will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Crystal Falls, per her wishes.
