Levi Garrett Butler
MARSHALL, Mich. — Levi Garrett Butler, a beautiful baby boy weighing 10 pounds 3 ounces and measuring 23 inches long, was brought into this world on Aug. 6, 2025 at 12:59 p.m. at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Mich. He left us all too soon — just a moment later.
Although Levi’s time on Earth was short, the amount of love he received is indescribable. He was able to be held and embraced by many family members who traveled near and far, we are forever grateful for that opportunity.
Levi will be forever loved and remembered by his parents, Garrett and Sydney Butler; sister Laylah; fur siblings Nala and Emma; great-grandparents Rose Butler, Debbie Paquin and John Zanon, Richard and Patty Smaniotti; grandparents Jeff and Lori Butler, Dennis and Shannon Neuens, and Rick Smaniotti; aunties and uncles Erika (Jared), Katelyn (Sean), Sami (Wyatt) Bryce, and Chase; cousins; and many other family and friends.
He was greeted and held at The Lord’s door by his great-grandparents, David Butler and Marvin and Dorothy Wade.
Baby Levi was laid to rest during a private ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 9, in Homer, Mich., surrounded by those who patiently awaited his arrival and celebrated the time we had with him.

“How very quietly you tiptoed into our world, silently, only a moment you stayed. But what an imprint your footprints have left upon our hearts.”
You’ll forever be our baby boy — the best 9 months of mamma’s life growing you, sissy’s “Leebye,” and dada’s best friend for life.
— Love Mamma and Dada
