NORA WEINFURTER
KIMBERLY, Wis. — Nora Anne Weinfurter, 84, our little Irish lady, passed away at Aspire Senior Living in Kimberly, Wis., on Saturday, July 26, 2025, after a stroke.
She was born June 10, 1941, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian Conery. Nora graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1959. She married Robert “Bob” Weinfurter on Oct. 7, 1989, in Lake Tahoe, Nev. Bob always called her his tweety bird. He preceded her in death in 2016.
Nora spent most of her career at the First National Bank, where she enjoyed interacting with the community. She was an active member and volunteer at American Martyrs Catholic Church and was a member of GFWC, Christian Women’s Club, and Red Hat Ladies. Nora and Bob enjoyed many summers fishing and spending time with friends at Bowen Lodge on Lake Winnibigoshish. Her favorite time though was spent with family, especially with her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nora was a comfort to many and her quick wit and sassy smile will forever be missed.

In addition to her husband, Bob, and her parents, Nora was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Conery; her son, Michael Hamm; and her daughter-in-law, Cara Hamm.

A visitation for Nora will be held on Thursday, Sept. 25, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
