Janis M. Sparapani

KINGSFORD — Janis M. Sparapani, 83, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson, with family by her side.
Janis was born Aug. 30, 1942, in Vulcan, daughter of the late Arthur and Frances (LaVoie) Remondini.
Janis married Franklin Sparapani on Jan. 15, 1959, and raised four children in Niagara, Wis. After retirement, they moved to Zephyrhills, Fla., were she lived for 20 years before returning to Niagara in 2022. She cherished the friends she made wherever she lived.
Janis enjoyed camping, painting, playing cards, crafts and collecting Fentonware. Family and friends are left to treasure the things she gave to them. Her deep faith in God was expressed in her daily prayers with her family. Her compassion and friendship will be remembered by those who knew her. She could always find her car by the large flower on the top.
Family was her greatest joy. In addition to her children, she loved spending time with her 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The memories they shared will live on in them.

Janis is survived by her daughters, Lynn (Bruce) Schoenleber of Saukville, Wis., Kelly Sparapani of Madison, Wis., Scott (June) Sparapani of Springfield, Mo., and Brian (Patti) Sparapani of Niagara, Wis.; grandchildren Michael, Michelle, Kristin, John, William, Grace, Erin, Emily, Maria, and Robert; great-grandchildren Harrison, Harper, Paige, Benjamin, Axl, James, Mason, Stevie, Brooks, Walker, Quinn, Rivers and Colin.
She is further survived by her twin sister, Joyce Kubat of Hampton Bays, N.Y.; and sisters-in-law Iris Remondini of Saginaw, Mich., and Gina Sparapani of Capestrano, Italy.
In addition to her parents, Janis is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Franklin; grandson Jeremy; brother David; and brothers-in-law Art and Gene.
Janis’s family wants to thank Marshfield Medical Clinic, her doctors and her caregivers for their compassion in taking care of their mom. And a special thanks to her friends at Bernardy Manor for helping to watch over her and love her.
