Mary Jane Hart
IRON MOUNTAIN — Mary Jane Hart, 76, of Iron Mountain, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.
She was born on June 29, 1949, in Iron Mountain, the beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Shirley (Welch) Hart. As a young girl, Mary attended Saint Coletta School in Jefferson, Wis., where she built a foundation of resilience and determination. For many years, she worked with dedication at Trico Opportunities in Kingsford, taking on various roles until her retirement. Her commitment to her work was a source of pride and a reflection of her strong work ethic.
A faithful member of Saint Mary and Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Iron Mountain, Mary found comfort and community in her faith. She had a deep love for music, which brought her endless joy, and a special fondness for babies, whose innocence always warmed her heart. Mary’s creative spirit shone through in her hobbies — she enjoyed knitting, painting, and, in recent years, coloring, which brought color to her days as well.
Her time at Family Ties Adult Daycare Center was filled with cherished moments and lasting friendships were formed. She also enjoyed her time at the Iron County Medical Care Facility and the many friends she made there. Mary’s life was a testament to joy, kindness, and an enduring spirit that touched everyone she met. Her love of angels was evident in the many figurines and other angel memorabilia she collected. Now Mary is in Heaven flying with the real angels.
Mary is survived by her loving sister, Judy (James) Mantta of Iron Mountain; as well as several nieces; a nephew; and special cousins, Kathy Chellew and Jeff (Cheryl) Hart. She also leaves her very dearest friends, Tammy and Brad Tomassucci and Ruby Marchaterre.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Linda Beauregard and Nancy Dal Santo.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 19, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. Father Janusz Romanek will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Family Ties Adult Day Care.
