Debra J. Julian

IRON MOUNTAIN — Debra J. Julian, 70, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025, surrounded by her family at St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.

Born Feb. 20, 1955, Debra was the daughter of the late George and Marie (Clash) Devet. She grew up in Iron Mountain, where she met and married Michael Julian, and together they raised two children, Paul and Christie, and years later became grandparents to four.

Debra worked at the credit union for many years and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She loved the outdoors — flowers, nature, feeding the deer, playing cards, spending time at camp — and notoriously had a gift for spotting eagles! She loved her family very much and was dedicated to caring for each one of them. Most importantly, she was devoted to her grandchildren.

Debra is survived by her husband, Michael; her children, Paul (Sheila) Julian and Christie (Tom) Kitsos; sisters-in-law, Sharyl Devet, Susan Devet, Karen (Richard) Wetelainen, Mary (Tom) VandenBerg, and Sandi Ryan; and grandchildren, Miranda (Peyton) Frantti, Blake Julian, Ethan Kitsos, and Arianna Kitsos.

She was preceded in death by a son at birth, Timothy; and two brothers, Thomas Devet and James Devet.

A visitation for Debra will be held on Monday, Nov. 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain. A service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Mark McQueston officiating.
