Douglas Kugler Sr.

He was born Sept. 28, 1953, in Wakefield, the son of the late Emil and Katherine (Grabrick) Kugler.

Doug served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Bruce Crossing Fire Department, where he was fire chief for many years.

He married Nancy Raiche on June 18, 1994, in Bruce Crossing, and moved to Faithorn in 2021.

Doug enjoyed working on his hobby farm and enjoying a Pabst when the work was done.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children Brandy Kugler, Virginia (Ryon) Hokens and Douglas (Tara) Kugler Jr.; stepchildren Rick (Lauren) Swanson and Jessie (Adam) Ortman; grandchildren Dillion, Latoya, Breann, Logan, Tyler, Johnathan, Austin and Annalise; five great-grandchildren; brother Eugene Kugler; sister Patricia (Rob) Jousma; many nieces and nephews.

Doug was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis “Dutch” Kugler; sister Virginia Cronkright; and sister-in-law Pam Kugler.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date and will be announced.

Interment will be held at the Riverside Cemetery in Faithorn.
