IRON MOUNTAIN — Jayce Rae Dale, 79, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, at St Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.

Born on July 20, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Ewald “Sparky” and Anne (Hiltonen) Olson.

In addition to her parents, Jayce was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Carol Olson; her husband, Robert Dale; her brother, Alvin Olson; and her sister, Sue Erickson.

Jayce had many cousins, nieces and nephews that she cherished keeping up with on Facebook and at family reunions.

She is survived by her special daughter, Allison Guide; niece Jayna Erickson; nephew Lee Erickson; and her longtime companion, Rodney Johnson.

A lifelong resident of Iron Mountain, Jayce was a proud graduate of Iron Mountain High School. She also cherished many winters spent traveling in the RV, enjoying the sunshine of South Florida and the Las Colinas RV Park in Casa Grande, Ariz.

Jayce’s working years reflected her wide-ranging talents — from housekeeping for the Guide’s and raising Allison, to working at a local radio station, to sales at CJ’s. Of all her roles, her favorite was serving as a karaoke hostess at the Playgirl in the 1990s. She had a passion for music, especially singing and dancing, and found joy in karaoke, bingo, and trips to the casino.

Known for her lively spirit, Jayce loved visiting family and friends, often taking spontaneous drives to connect with those she cared about. She was the life of the party, bringing warmth, laughter, and fun wherever she went.

In accordance with her wishes, no formal services will be held.
