PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Michael Paul Crago, 57, passed away at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Hospital in Panama City, Fla., on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025.

Mike was born in Escanaba, on April 12, 1968, to parents Chuck and Darlene Crago. Mike enjoyed growing up in Escanaba and Rothchild, Wis., before returning to this area, graduating from Iron Mountain High School in 1986.

In high school he participated on the football team and golf team, where he excelled. After graduation from high school, Mike graduated from Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, Mich., where he achieved his FAA private pilot, FAA commercial pilot and FAA instrument pilot licenses.

While he resided in this area, Mike worked as a log buyer and lumber grader for Goodman Forest Industries and for G & G Lumber. He later moved to Florida, working with hurricane cleanup companies, and most recently was employed at the Panama Country Club in Panama City. Mike loved golfing and fishing and was great at both sports. He adored people and had a great sense of humor; he loved making people laugh.

He is survived by his siblings, Kim (Crago) Richmond, Kathy (Crago) Elack (Rich), and Jeff Crago (Gayla); significant other Kim Stovall; ex-wife Debbie Theodorovich; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Darlene (Sundberg) Crago; and a brother-in-law, Kent Richmond.

A Celebration of Life for Michael will be held on Nov. 1 from noon until 3 p.m. at the Florence Community Center, Florence, Wis.
