Thomas N. Zimmerman

Tom was born Dec. 18, 1935, in Oak Park, Ill., the son of Francis and Margaret (Sheridan) Zimmerman. He attended and graduated from Argo High School in Chicago. He was united in marriage to Dolores Betts on Sept. 10, 1960, in Summit, Illinois.

He worked for Zimmerman Accounting and Tax Service in Iron Mountain. Tom faithfully attended Grace Church in Gladstone and loved the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was known by his littlest great-grandchildren as “Great Papa”

Tom is survived by his children, Thomas Zimmerman, Sue (Dan) Hoffmann and Karen (Dwight) Huse; grandchildren Lucas (Monica) Zimmerman, Zachary (Maria) Zimmerman, Margaret Zimmerman, Jack (Brittani) Zimmerman, Ashley (Marvin) Cherette, Erin (Joshua) Anderson, Brent (Nou) Huse, Bonnie (Samuel) Pawlak; great-grandchildren Eli, Landon, Ean, Eva, Josie, Cecilia, Aspen, Warrick and Soren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores; his parents; and a brother, Michael Paul Zimmerman.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Grace Church in Gladstone. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. A luncheon will be provided following the service. Tom will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
