William Reid

He was born in Muskegon on Feb. 8, 1947, the son of the late Herald and Gloria (Isley) Reid.

Bill graduated from Orchard View High School and continued his education graduating from Grand Valley State University with a degree in education.

After college he started his career in the mental health field, working for Muskegon Regional Center, then Mason County Community Mental Health, Antrim-Kalkaska Community Mental Health and finally NorthPoint Behavioral Health Care in Kingsford, he retired in 2016.

Bill married Lynda Winter on May 17, 1981 in Torch Lake, Michigan.

He served for many years on the Medical Care Access Coalition Board. Bill loved going to camp with his friends George, Dave and Steve, was an incredible Lions fan and refereed all levels of Basketball from middle school to adult league.

Bill is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lynda; son, Jake Reid; sister-in-law, Sue (Gerard) Winter; brothers-in-law, Tom (Cindy) Winter, Bill (Carol) Winter and Pat (Monica) Winter; cousin, Dan Isley; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will greet friends on Thursday, Oct, 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.
