ESCANABA — Delores E. Remondini, 99, of Escanaba, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, Nov. 1, 2025, at Bishop Noa Home with her family at her side.
She was born on Sept. 4, 1926, in Quinnesec, daughter to Raymond and Pearl (Carle) Belaire. Delores graduated from Escanaba High School.
On April 28, 1945, the former Delores Belaire married John Remondini at St. Mary Catholic Church in Quinnesec. He preceded her in death in June of 1988.
Delores worked as a sales clerk for SS Kresge/Kmart for 29 years, retiring in 1989.
She was a faithful member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and was a member of the St. Thomas Ladies Guild.
Delores enjoyed crocheting, doing search-a-word, playing cards and bingo, and socializing.
Among survivors include two daughters, Donna Remondini and Kathleen (Randall) Johnson of Escanaba; granddaughters Kristi M. (Jay) Lodewegen and Kailie S. (Randy) Schroeder; two great-grandchildren, Colton and Camden; sister Marilyn Struebing; godson (the son she never had) Steve (Sandy) Ozzello; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond and Ernest Belaire; and sister Rose Carlson.
Visitation will be on Monday, Nov. 10, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Eastern time at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St., Escanaba. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at noon at St. Thomas the Apostle Church with the Rev. Rick Courier officiating. At the conclusion of the Mass, a meal will be served in the church hall.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
It was Delores’ wishes, that memorials be directed to St. Thomas Church or to Carmelite Monastery of the Holy Cross in Iron Mountain.
Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the family.
