ARMSTRONG CREEK, Wis. — Donald E. Konetsky, 89, of Armstrong Creek, Wis., passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025.
He was born in Chicago on April 1, 1936, an April Fool’s Day baby; son of the late Charles and Alberta (Kutta) Konetsky.
Don dedicated 32 years to a career with Best Foods in Summit Argo, Ill. After retiring, he moved to Armstrong Creek, where he embraced the beauty and freedom of the wilderness. An avid outdoorsman, Don loved hunting and fishing, and he also enjoyed trap shooting and woodworking.
Don is survived by his two children, Jennifer (Gene) Larrabee and Charles Konetsky; grandchildren Yolanda (Brandon) Olive and Rae (Zach) Malcore; three great-grandchildren; and special friend Janice Byrne.
He was preceded in death by brother Ronald Konetsky.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Armstrong Creek with Father Soja Joseph presiding. Visitation is at church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery in Goodman.

Roubal Funeral Home in Wausaukee is assisting Donald’s family with arrangements.
