SPREAD EAGLE, Wis. — Glenn Hugh Hunter, 78, of Spread Eagle, Wis., passed away peacefully on Oct. 30, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis., with his wife, Barbara, and eldest son, Jeffrey, by his side, and surrounded in spirit and conversation by his son, Bryan, and daughters-in-law, Carrie and Danielle.
Glenn was born on Sept. 1, 1947, in Raytown, Mo., to Hugh and Helen Hunter. He grew up with his brother, Paul, and sister, Diane. An athlete from a young age, Glenn cherished time spent outdoors. As a boy, he played baseball on teams coached by his father, and his love for nature never faded.
Glenn worked in the heavy equipment industry in both Nevada and Colorado. He even worked for Lakeshore of Iron Mountain.
Glenn married the love of his life, Barbara, in the mountains of Colorado, surrounded by family, friends and nature — three things that always meant the most to him. Together, they raised two sons, Jeffrey and Bryan, and built a life full of adventure, travel, and family memories. Barbara’s work with United Airlines allowed the family to travel and explore the world together.
He enjoyed fishing, camping in the mountains, golfing at Pine Grove Country Club, and boating with his family. Having grown up on a lake, it was only fitting that Glenn retired to one — spending his summers exactly as he liked them: on the water, in the sunshine, and proudly wearing shorts every single day.

Glenn’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his sons, Jeffrey (Carrie) Hunter and Bryan (Danielle) Hunter; and his grandchildren, Rhemi and Chase, who brought him endless pride and happiness.
In keeping with Glenn’s wishes, he will be cremated, with a special urn handcrafted by a dear friend from Arizona. A celebration of life will be held next summer, where family and friends will gather to honor Glenn’s life, laughter, and the many memories he created with those he loved most.
Glenn will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his humor, kindness, and love of family, sunshine, and the simple joys of life on the lake. Cheers!

The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the arrangements.
