RoseMary DeRidder

She was born on Dec. 15, 1941, in Iron River, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Angeline (Tessaro) Giordana.

RoseMary graduated from Iron River High School in 1960 and went on to receive her LPN degree from Northern Michigan University.

She married Richard DeRidder on June 15, 1963, at St. Agnes Church in Iron River.

RoseMary worked for Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for nine years and then Carlson/Trump general surgeons and then Benishek/Cecconis general surgeons, retiring after 35 years.

She enjoyed cooking Italian food, walking her dog Kelly, reading and for 26 years taking trips to Las Vegas with friends, but what she enjoyed the most was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

RoseMary is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard; sons Dean (Barbara) DeRidder and Dane (Kelly) DeRidder; daughter Deanna (Tom) Christesen; grandchildren Nicolas (Stacie) DeRidder, Dayna (Steve) Hodgins, Benjamin (Audra) DeRidder, Amanda (Jake) Gatien, James (Ellen) DeBartolo, Charlie and Sam Christesen; 14 great-grandchildren (with three sets of twins), Claire, Logan, Hailey, Russell, Grant, Willa, Marilyn, Flora, Easton, Tucker, Lillian, Leo, Enzo and Marco; brother Larry (Margaret) Giordana; sisters Florence Grzyb and Betty Gingrass; brother-in-law Tom (Shirley) DeRidder; sister-in-law Pat Giordana; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Giordana.

A private Memorial Mass for family will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway.

Interment will be held at the Norway Township Cemetery.
