IRON MOUNTAIN — Teah M. Wright, 49, of Iron Mountain, passed away in the comfort of her own home on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a brief battle with an aggressive cancer.
She was born in Iron Mountain on Aug. 8, 1976, to Don and Sandy (Tanner) Brown. As a child she spent a lot of time with her great-grandparents, Ida and Joe Selle. Her Nona, Ida, taught her the art of authentic Italian cooking. Teah graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1996, the year after the birth of her daughter, and later attended Bay College.
She was a hard worker and took on many positions but she was particularly fond of her time waitressing for Mel’s Diner and B’s Cafe and her time working for Optalis Health and Rehab in activities. On July 11, 2015, Teah was married to Robert E. Wright. Robert preceded Teah in death on Nov. 14, 2022.
Teah’s happy place was River’s Bend over 20 years of campfires, floats, and rides on the pontoon. She also enjoyed feeding and watching her birds. Teah was thrilled to see her hummingbirds that she named return to her feeders every year. More than anything she loved time spent with her family, whether it be crafting with her grandchildren, morning coffee visits with her mother, or going to see her favorite band, Shinedown, in concert with her daughter and grandchildren. Teah will forever be remembered for her kind heart and gentle soul.
Teah will be deeply missed by her daughter, Bree Brown; two grandchildren, Penelope and Xander Johnson; mother Sandy Brown; two siblings, Paul (Nikki) Brown and Mandy Brown; nieces and nephews Elizabeth Brown (goddaughter), Dannie Bjorkman, Quentin (Morgan) Bjorkman, and Anthony Brown; and many special aunts and uncles.

In addition to her husband, Teah is preceded in death by her father, Don Brown; and her grandparents, Edward and Margaret Tanner, Ida and Joe Selle, and Pat and Marlene May.
A private gathering to honor Teah’s memory was held.
Teah’s family would like to thank Dr. Derrick and the OSF Hospice Care Team for their compassionate care; and Teah’s lifelong friend, Deanna, for her extraordinary support during this difficult time.
Condolences may be expressed to the family of Teah M. Wright online at www.ernashfuneralhomes.com.
The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the arrangements.
